The Institute for Advanced Studies in Internal Fixation (Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Osteosíntesis-IESO-) began life in 1999 with the mission of coordinating, encouraging and supporting the teaching activities and research programs in Orthopaedic Surgery. It was created following the spirit of collaboration University-Enterprise and it is integrated by the Maurice E. Müller Foundation and IQL-BIOMET-Merck. The first program underway is a course on the generic topic "Fundamental Principles of Internal Fixation", set in modules, which is addressed to specialists in Orthopaedic Surgery and operating room personnel. |
