The Maurice E. Müller Foundation-Espańa is a non-profit Private Foundation, under the current Law of Foundations and Patronage 1/1992 of the 3rd of March. It is listed with number 432 on the Register of Private Foundations of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Its main goals are promoting Education, Research and Documentation in Orthopaedic Surgery in order to keep improving surgical techniques in this speciality. The Foundation is interested in the broad dissemination of knowledge and our energies are generally directed towards activities which eventually result in public exposure –publications and lectures- rather than toward activities which result in individual development. The Maurice E. Müller Foundation -España is a legal entity, despite being closely linked to the Mother Maurice E. Müller Foundation in Switzerland, which supports as well the MEM Foundation of North America, the Institute for High Resolution Electron Microscopy in Basel, and the Institute of Biomechanics in Bern. |

The Trust is the management body and representation of the Foundation, responsible to fulfil the Foundation's goals, of administrating goods and maintaining its efficiency. They collaborate on a volunteer basis. |
