| These are fractures of the proximal tibia, involving the lateral tibial plateau, with a longitudinal fracture combined with depression of the articular surface (split-depression fractures), either involving or not the tibial spines. They represent the combination of the lesions that characterize the groups B1 and B2. | Ref.

The treatment follows the guidelines exposed for the groups B1 and B2. Anatomic reduction and bone grafting can sometimes be performed by carefully opening the fracture line without making a cortical window. |
Internal fixation is performed with lag screws with scaffold function, either independent or placed through a buttress plate. |
