The treatment indications and techniques are identical to those of the previous group. The use of bone graft to substitute the medial bone loss is strongly recommended in this group of fractures. In the illustrated case there is a bridge type callus formation between the |
vascularized wedge and the two main fragments because no bone graft was used. One year later, the lack of contact between the medial cortices can still be appreciated in the X-ray. |
