This work is based on the revision of more than 54.000 fractures treated by some means of internal fixation. All fractures were reclassified using the CCF system while a statistical study of incidence covering types, groups and subgroups was conducted. The outcomes are detailed by the schematic drawings of each fracture.

Radiographic examples of each group and most subgroups are shown on the right page, treated by one or several internal fixation techniques, always respecting the 4 principles proposed by M.E. Müller: respect fot the fragments blood suply, anatomic reduction, stable internal fixation and early active pain-free mobilization. Each case comes with an explicative text dealing with the indication and surgical technique performed.

The prologue is by M.E. Müller. The preface for the Spanish edition is by Antonio Navarro and by Christopher Colton for the English edition. Overall reading is recommended because it addresses the advantages of the CCF and the rigurous surgical technique, insinuating, at the same time, other technical possibilities. This is the reason for this work to welcome collaborations from other schools through the Internet.
